Antique French silk christening or baptism dress. Short sleeve and very sheer, designed to go over a slip.
Fine lace detailing to the collar and hems. Closes with three buttons down back. Early 20th century.

The silk is now an ivory shade and still had a light sheen to it. There are some small pulls and holes and a couple of stains to the material which I have tried to photograph. T
his is a vintage item, over a century old, so expect imperfections!
