Antique French Sacred Heart of Jesus statue made by Delin Frères in Paris. 
Early 20th century.
Delin Frères merged with Raffl, the famous religious statue manufacturer, in the early 20th century. 
Raffl had its workshop and a shop near the St Sulpice church in Paris. They bought and merged with several smaller statue manufacturers.
In 1911, Raffl created the brand 'La Statue religieuse'. A round label is attached under the statue with this brand name.  Delin Frères, Paris is engraved on the base.
Painted plaster with beautiful gold details. 
The face of Jesus and his clothes are beautifully detailed. 
Several chips so the white plaster is sometimes visible. 
The fingers are broken and one is missing.
The shine is gone in places because the statue must have been on display for a long time. 
Some dust is still visible in places and has left dark marks. There are also white stains (especially in the hair).
Discolouration from age. It all gives a beautiful patina!
This is a beautiful representation of Jesus despite the imperfections. Raffl and Delin Frères statues are hard to find and very sought after!
