Beautiful large figurine of Jesus with the Sacred Heart. 
His face has an amazing expression and is very detailed. His pupils have been partly varnished so it gives the impression of tears or watering eyes under certain lights. I have tried to capture the effect in the short video.
His hands are very delicate.
Hand-painted pink and gold details. The colours are still bright but some of the gilt has rubbed off in places. Brush strokes visible so the paint is not even.
Some small parts are glazed.
Small stains and discolouration to the statue. Small accidental traces of gold paint on the robe.
Number VII engraved at the back and '28' painted underneath.
Height 34.8 cm/ 13.7 inches
