Set of antique plates from Creil et Montereau in France depicting five Catholic Saints.
They were part of a larger set (probably 12). Mid to late 19th century.
 
The names are in French.
Plate 1: St Geneviève, patron saint of Paris.
Plate 2: St Theresa (Thérèse)
Plate 4: st Matthew (Mathieu)
Plate 6: st Magdalene (Madeleine)
Plate 11: st Anthony the abbot (Antoine)
 
The stamp underneath says in French: Opaque porcelain. Creil and Montereau. Gold medals 1834, 39 and 44. Lebeuf Milliet &cie.
 
Signs of age and use.
There are small scratches and some crackling in places.
Imperfections in the transfer (black marks and fade).
Marks and small stains. 
The edges have some imperfections as there are some chips in the glazing, stains and wear marks.
